Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and SoriStory LLC (“Washicard,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of Washicard: the iPhone, Android and web apps (app.washicard.com) and the washicard.com website (together, the “Service”). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. What Washicard is

Washicard is a free credit card perks tracker. You pick the cards you hold from our catalog, and Washicard shows each card’s credits as coupons to stamp when you use them, reminds you before credits expire and fees post, reports how much of each card’s value you used, and suggests a next card ranked by your estimated approval odds, then the bonus. Washicard never asks for a bank login or a card number and never connects to your bank, so it does not see your transactions; what it shows is based on what you tell it.

2. License to use the apps

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the apps on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store and Google Play rules, and to use the web app in your browser. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, redistribute, resell, or attempt to extract the source code of the apps, or copy the card catalog in bulk, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.

3. Washicard Cloud accounts

You can use Washicard without an account. Washicard Cloud is optional: you can sign in with Apple or with Google to keep the same wallet on your iPhone, Android phone and the web app. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Apple ID or Google account secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to create an account. You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Backup & sync → Delete account; how we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Washicard is free to use. It is paid for by paid links: some Apply buttons are marked “Paid link,” and if a bank approves you through one, the bank pays Washicard a referral fee, at no cost to you. Paid links never change the order of Next card, which is ranked by your estimated odds, then the bonus. Offers without a paid link go to the bank’s public page. We may add other ways to keep Washicard free in the future, such as clearly labeled ads, and will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy before we do.

When you follow a link to a bank or other third-party site, that site’s own terms and privacy policy apply. Any application, approval, card agreement, fee or bonus is between you and the bank; we are not a party to it and don’t decide it.

5. Not financial advice

Washicard gives general information to help you keep track of your own cards. It is not financial, credit, legal or tax advice, and nothing in the Service is a recommendation that you apply for, keep, downgrade or cancel any card. Approval odds, fee verdicts (“paid for itself,” “falls short”), switch suggestions and value estimates are rough estimates from bank terms, applicants’ reports and the bands you choose; they are not a credit decision and do not guarantee approval, a bonus or any outcome. Decide what’s right for you, and ask a qualified professional if you need advice.

6. Card terms and odds

Card credits, fees, bonuses, earning rates, bank rules and offers come from the banks’ public pages and, where marked, from what applicants report. We check them regularly, and a person reviews each change before it reaches the apps, but they may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Banks change their terms without notice, and the terms that apply to you are in your own card agreement. Check with your bank before relying on any of them, for example before you count on a credit, an annual fee waiver or a refund window.

Washicard doesn’t know what you actually spent or what your bank credited. A stamp means you marked a credit used; it isn’t confirmation from your bank.

7. Not affiliated with any bank

Washicard isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by any bank or card network. Card names, card images and logos belong to their owners and appear only so you can recognize your cards. A paid link means a bank pays a referral fee for an approved application, not that the bank endorses Washicard or reviewed what it shows.

8. Your wallet

The cards, stamps, notes and profile bands you enter (“your wallet”) are yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to operate the Service for you, for example to store and sync your wallet if you sign in to Washicard Cloud, and, unless you turn off “Share anonymous usage,” to count anonymous totals as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for what you enter. Keep your own copy of anything important: you can export your wallet at any time from Profile → Backup & sync.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to: break the law or infringe others’ rights; enter someone else’s card details without their permission; attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; or interfere with paid links, for example by generating fake taps or applications.

10. Our intellectual property

The Service, including the apps, the websites, the card catalog as we compiled it, the “Washicard” and “Washi” names, logos and design, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms don’t grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CARD TERMS, OFFERS, ODDS OR ESTIMATES ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT, THAT REMINDERS WILL ARRIVE, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE OR SECURE, OR THAT YOUR WALLET WILL NOT BE LOST.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR GOODWILL, INCLUDING AN UNUSED OR EXPIRED CREDIT, AN ANNUAL FEE, A MISSED BONUS OR A DECLINED APPLICATION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANYTHING IT SHOWS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED USD $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DON’T ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your Washicard Cloud account in the apps. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully, and we may change or stop offering the Service or any part of it. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, not financial advice, disclaimers and limitation of liability) survive termination.

14. App Store and Google Play terms

These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the apps or their content. To the extent there is any maintenance or support, we, not Apple, are responsible for it, and Apple has no obligation to furnish it. In the event of a failure of the iPhone app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the apps, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance and consumer-protection claims, and any third-party claim that an app or your use of it infringes intellectual-property rights. You must comply with applicable third-party terms and the App Store Usage Rules. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of Google Play is also governed by Google Play’s terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer where you live.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, tell you in the apps. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
